Computed Tomography
CT Scans for Equine and Small Animal Patients
High-Resolution 3D Imaging for Precise Diagnosis and Treatment Planning
At Friendship Veterinary Imaging Center, our Computed Tomography (CT) service provides advanced three-dimensional diagnostic imaging for equine and small animal patients. CT imaging allows veterinarians and pet owners to see internal structures with exceptional detail, including bones, joints, soft tissues, and internal organs. This level of clarity supports confident diagnoses and more informed treatment decisions.
What Is a CT Scan?
A CT scan, also called Computed Tomography, uses rotating X-ray technology and computer processing to create detailed cross-sectional images of the body. These images are reconstructed into high-resolution three-dimensional views, allowing your veterinary team to evaluate complex anatomy in multiple planes. CT imaging is especially useful for evaluating areas such as the skull, spine, limbs, nasal passages, lungs, abdomen, and joints.
